building infrastructure resilience one region at a time

Regional Lifelines Groups

Regional Lifelines Groups coordinate relationships and activities aimed at reducing infrastructure vulnerabilities to emergencies.

Regional Lifelines Groups include representatives from lifeline utilities, emergency management, scientists and others.

They undertake projects looking at impacts of hazards on the region’s infrastructure and ways to reduce outage risks and minimise restoration times when outages do occur.

Groups have a close relationship with regional Civil Defence & Emergency Management Groups, with lifeline utilities also having legal responsibilities to be ready and to respond.

This section of our portal hosts web environments for some groups and links to relevant external webpages when available for others.

The Resources section contains document downloads for hosted groups, and a mixture of links and downloads for key documents of groups not hosted on this portal.
